FROM THE VAULT: The FTV series presents some of your favorite W4H wrestlers early in their underground careers, or early matches filmed that formed the foundation of the W4H empire. Blond haired heel Caleb Brands sees the tall lanky Lanny Love and thinks only one thing: fresh meat for him to destroy. Trash talking as he throws the thin jobber from one side of the ring to the other, the pain in Love’s moans are music to Caleb’s ears. And Caleb simply cannot get enough of Lanny’s song.

Employing any and all means to dish out punishment, Caleb finds inventive ways to use both the ropes and the ring posts to help deliver some pain to Lanny. When Caleb finds some rope sitting on the floor next to the ring, he puts it to good use in choking the helpless Love. Trapped in a tree of woe, Lanny absorbs devastating move after devastating move, unable to defend himself. Down on the mat, Lanny falls victim to Caleb’s leg scissors, a cloverleaf figure 4 and a full nelson that finally causes him to scream the words Caleb has been waiting to hear…. “I give up!”.

After watching this early appearance, it is no wonder that we have not seen much of Lanny Love in subsequent years. Perhaps he had a second thought about being used as a rag doll by more experienced wrestlers. Perhaps the beating he takes here has left him forever scarred from getting in the squared circle again. Perhaps he just took a look at the overall situation and said, “Nope. Never again” and retired. No matter what, we can all just enjoy the perfect way he performed his duties as a jobber extraordinaire at the hands of Caleb Brand.
